The speaker, Professor Lawrence Goodman MA PhD FRHS, is the current director of the Institute of Historical Research and a former editor of the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. His degree at Oxford was followed by study at Yale. His research and numerous publications relate to social and political topics of the 19th and the early part of the 20th Centuries in America, England and Germany. All lectures are followed by free refreshments. Visitors are welcome £3.00, members of Fellowship House £1.00. There is no difficulty parking.
