Ann Widdecombe will be signing copies of her latest book, Strictly Ann.

Ann Widdecombe was born in October 1947 and has Honours Degrees in Latin and in Politics and Economics and has an MA from Oxford University. Miss Widdecombe published her first novel The Clematis Tree in April 2000 which became a best seller. Since then she has written a further three novels.

She has enjoyed participating in various television programmes including her own prime time television show on BBC2, Ann Widdecombe to the Rescue.

Most recently Ann Widdecombe appeared in BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing, to huge acclaim, dancing through to the last round before the semi-finals.

As well as Television and Radio Miss Widdecombe had built up a strong reputation in the print media mainly as a columnist for several newspapers. She is currently a weekly columnist for the Daily Express.

In July 2001 she announced her decision to retire from the Shadow Cabinet citing the wish to be able to speak on issues which she felt strongly about without the constraints which being a Front Bencher necessarily imposes. Another major factor in Miss Widdecombe’s decision was the desire to spend more time with her elderly mother as well as to devote more time to her writing career.

If you would like to choose who you would like to sit with, please call Sarah on 020 8457 5013.
